Ruth Ible

Ruth has been playing percussive instruments for over 10 years, starting with the steel pan which she inherited from her parent’s country of birth in St Kitts. Ruth is proud to mention that her father still plays the steel pan all over the country, including cruise ships.

Ruth is an energetic percussionist who likes to feel every rhythm and beat to blend with who she plays with. Ruth developed a love for concentrating on the conga’s, bongo’s her toys of various shakers, chimes and the Cajon. Ruth enjoys playing various genres including Jazz, Latin, RnB, Soul, Funk, Pop and Gospel.

Ruth has had experience in playing with a variety of bands, groups, acoustic settings and studio recordings, but feels at her element when playing live. She currently plays in her local church band and has regular live showcases within a variety of venues and genres.

Ruth has been blessed to have worked with and has gained experience and knowledge from musicians who have worked with Beverley Knight, Soweto Kinch, The Drifters, Musical Youth and has had live sessions with Julian Smith (Britain’s Got Talent, 2nd runner up in 2009).
